The Curator– Touching Memories Theater - In Hebrew

Rachel Sa'adon sits at her desk in the Collection Depot at Yad Vashem, and oversees the unpacking of artifacts. This evening, not only these packages will be opened: slowly but surely, a family saga will unfold before us, beginning with the Holocaust of the Jews of North Africa. This is a story spanning three generations, soon to be four: the grandmother, Zmira and her unforgettable life journey; the mother, Miri; Rachel herself; and the baby daughter she is carrying. The latent voices in the watch that Zmira bought in Bergen-Belsen are invoked, and resonate in the life of a contemporary Israeli woman.
